The senior care home in Brașov marks a milestone anniversary, having provided dignified care and support to more than 135 elderly residents since 2009.
Fundația Dumbrava Minunată, supported by Țiriac International Foundation, celebrated 15 years of providing shelter, medical care, and community to vulnerable elderly people in Brașov. Since opening its doors in 2009, the center has served more than 135 residents, offering them dignity and comfort in their later years.
Currently home to more than 40 residents, the facility provides comprehensive care including accommodation, meals, medical supervision, and access to healthcare services such as regular check-ups and specialized treatments. But the center’s mission extends beyond physical care.
“Our residents are not just receiving services — they’re part of a community,” explained a center coordinator. “Through recreational activities, counseling, and social programs, we help them maintain connections and find meaning in their daily lives.”
The anniversary celebration brought together current residents, staff members, families, and community partners. Residents shared their experiences, and staff members were recognized for their dedication to providing compassionate care.
The milestone reflects Țiriac International Foundation’s long-term commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society. Looking ahead, the Foundation continues to invest in the center’s operations, ensuring that elderly people in difficult social situations have access to safe, welcoming environments where they are respected and supported.
