Romania’s Olympic Medalists Honored at Special Ceremony at Țiriac Collection

Fundația Țiriac celebrates Team Romania’s success at Paris 2024 with personalized awards for all 22 medal-winning performances.

In a celebration of athletic excellence, Fundația Țiriac hosted Romania’s Paris 2024 Olympic medalists at the Țiriac Collection in Otopeni. The ceremony honored all 22 medal-winning performances with a unique gesture of recognition: a personalized vehicle for each medal earned.

Multi-medal winners received one vehicle per podium finish, with each car featuring customized license plates displaying the athletes’ names and bespoke detailing highlighting their events and results. The vehicles serve as rolling testaments to the athletes’ perseverance and achievement.

“These athletes have made Romania proud on the world’s biggest sporting stage,” said a Foundation representative. “This celebration is our way of saying thank you and supporting them as they move forward in their careers.”

In addition to the vehicles, athletes received commemorative medals crafted in 14-karat gold, silver, and bronze, adding symbolic weight to the tangible awards. The ceremony brought together athletes, sports officials, and partners united by a commitment to performance and fair play.

The awards were made possible with support from Țiriac International Foundation, reinforcing a partnership dedicated to Romanian sports excellence. The event complemented state recognition with meaningful private support, helping athletes transition from Olympic triumph to the next chapters of their careers.
