Stronger Together: Education and Sport for Inclusion
The project “Stronger Together: Education and Sport for Inclusion” is implemented by Asociația FDP-Protagoniști în educație and funded by the Țiriac International Foundation. It is designed to contribute to the reduction of school dropout, to increase motivation and sustained engagement in education and to strengthen the educational inclusion of children from rural communities in Brasov county, through an integrated model that brings together education, sports, and socio-educational support.
The initiative is being implemented in the rural communities of Dumbrăvița, Bod, Hălchiu, and Sânpetru, where limited access to educational resources and support services continues to contribute to increased risk of early school leaving.
Inclusive education and personalized support
The project strengthens inclusive practices in schools by training 50 teachers and introducing tools such as inclusion maps and safe learning spaces. Also, more than 480 children participate in activities that promote diversity, cooperation, and inclusion, contributing to a more supportive school culture.
Children in vulnerable situations receive personalized educational support, counselling, and art-therapy sessions adapted to their individual needs, while parents are actively involved through initiatives such as the “Parents’ School”, which supports stronger family engagement in education.
Sport as a driver for inclusion
A key component of the project is the launch of the Real Madrid Social Sports School in Brașov, where 40 children participate in weekly football training sessions and educational activities.
The programme follows the methodology of the Real Madrid Foundation, combining sport development with the promotion of values such as respect, discipline, teamwork, and responsibility
