Education
Reducing school dropout rates, improving academic performance, and creating inclusive learning environments.
Our approach consists of targeted investments in disadvantaged rural communities, combining educational interventions with sports activities, social support, and institutional involvement to create sustainable local ecosystems:
- Bottom-up investment in specific rural communities (small towns or villages) introduce new approaches to overcoming educational challenges.
- Adding sport as part of the integrated approach in addressing educational challenges of children from disadvantaged areas, this is a specific niche where we can bring positive change.
We fund initiatives that apply holistic approaches: working with schools (administrators and teachers), working with children through in-school and extracurricular activities, working with parents and with the broader community. We support initiatives that combine formal and non-formal education, adding sports as a driver of inclusion and motivation.
Sports
Increasing children’s access to sports and developing a new generation of athletes.
Through our continued long-term support to Fundația Țiriac, we will contribute to strengthen its role as an innovator and driving force in expanding children’s and youth access to sport initiation. At the same time, we will contribute to supporting those who aspire to become the next generation of high-performance athletes, placing Romania on the global sports map with talented players and hosting opportunities for world-class international competitions.
Social and health initiatives
Supporting vulnerable older adults and children with special needs through medical and social services.
We will continue to support social services targeting vulnerable older adults, while initiate and support selected healthcare and social initiatives for the benefit of vulnerable communities – predominantly in the Brașov area –in accessing quality medical treatments and in promoting screening programs.
The objectives and strategies in each of the priority areas of interest are directly corelated to our grantmaking policy.
