2024 Olympic medal winning awards
In August 2024, the Fundația Țiriac, with the financial support of the Tiriac International Foundation, hosted a celebration at the Țiriac Collection in Otopeni to honor Romania’s Paris 2024 Olympic medalists. In a powerful gesture of recognition and support, the foundation awarded 22 cars—one for each medal earned—with multi-medal winners receiving a vehicle per podium finish. Each car was personalized, featuring license plates with the athletes’ names and bespoke detailing that highlighted their events and results, transforming the vehicles into rolling testaments to perseverance and excellence. Athletes also received 14-karat gold, silver and bronze commemorative medals, adding symbolic weight to the tangible awards.
By gathering athletes, officials, and partners under one roof, the ceremony strengthened a community united by performance, fair play, and national pride. It complemented state rewards with a meaningful private contribution. In scale and visibility, the Fundația Țiriac’s awards stood out as a defining act of gratitude to Team Romania in 2024.
