Football initiation program
Since 2022, with the support of the Țiriac International Foundation, Fundația Țiriac has run the Football Initiation Program for children in Ion Țiriac Sports Complex, an initiative designed to teach the fundamental techniques of football in a professional, safe, and inspiring environment. Since its launch, over 120 children have participated in the program, developing basic football skills under the attentive guidance of experienced coaches.
Children enrolled in the football program have access to high-quality equipment, training accessories, top facilities, allowing them to develop agility, coordination, strength, endurance, and overall motor skills.
The Football Initiation Program is equally focused on emotional and social development, fostering self-confidence, discipline, and teamwork, helping children build essential life skills while enjoying the sport. For children from disadvantaged backgrounds, the program offers additional guidance and support, nurturing their wellbeing and encouraging personal growth.
Football initiation courses are free of charge, offering local and disadvantaged communities an accessible and enjoyable opportunity for children to engage in sport and build healthy habits.
Local football competitions
Also, Fundația Țiriac supports the development of sports and young talent through football competitions for children and teenagers. Among the events organized are the Fundația Țiriac Cup – Winter Edition and the Fundația Țiriac Cup – Summer Edition, competitions that have been launched since 2024 and have already achieved remarkable success.
At the pilot 2024 Winter Edition, over 400 children had the opportunity to showcase their talent and passion for football, while the 2025 Summer Edition saw participation grow to 700 children, highlighting the increasing interest in these events.
Through these competitions, the Fundația Țiriac promotes values such as fair play, teamwork, and a healthy development of children, offering high-quality sports experiences in a well-organized and friendly environment.
