Swimming Sponsorship to the Romanian Swimming Federation
A significant example of the Țiriac Foundation’s involvement in swimming is its partnership with the Romanian Swimming and Modern Pentathlon Federation sponsoring 2 high-level international competitions, while also providing opportunities for children and young athletes to develop their skills and pursue their passion for the sport.
European Junior Swimming Championships 2022: Țiriac Foundation served as the main partner of the 2022 European Junior Swimming Championships. The competition brought to Romania for the first time Europe’s top junior swimmers, featured 500 athletes from 42 countries, including 26 Romanian swimmers led by David Popovici.
World Junior Swimming Championships 2025: The 2025 edition sponsored by the Țiriac Foundation was one of the most significant international sporting events ever hosted in Romania. The competition welcomed over 900 athletes from 122 countries, showcasing the highest level of junior swimming talent from around the world.
Allianz-Țiriac Performance Scholarships
Țiriac Foundation and Allianz-Țiriac Insurance support excellence through scholarships dedicated to junior athletes with outstanding sporting achievements. Since its launch, in 2015, the program has been awarded a total of 300 scholarships. Talented young athletes in Romania, aged 6 to 18, with exceptional sporting results can receive financial support to help them on their journey toward top-level sporting achievements. Țiriac Foundation joined the program in 2022.
