Tennis initiation national program
Starting 2023, Fundația Țiriac financed by Țiriac International Foundation, launched the National Tennis Initiation Program, giving children aged 5 to 8 across Romania the opportunity to discover tennis. To date, over 639 children have benefited from these free of charge courses, with new groups of participants enrolled each year nationwide.
Children enrolled in the program have free access throughout the entire sports season to the necessary infrastructure, including indoor tennis courts during the winter, all located in easily accessible areas.
With the support of the Țiriac International Foundation, children can participate in the free Tennis Initiation Program, where they have the chance to develop essential technical skills under the guidance of qualified coaches. The annual program consists of two sessions per week from September to May, providing continuous and cost-free access to tennis training.
The program is implemented in collaboration with local sports clubs in cities including Arad, Bacau, Bistrița, Brasov, Campina, Cluj-Napoca, Deva, Focsani and Bucharest, with further national expansion planned where facilities allow and collaboration with local sports clubs can be developed.
